The Rainbow Galaxy print is part of a series of black and white drawings on canvas about space and systems. A galaxy is a system of stars,interstellar gas, dust and dark matter. They are independent and are held together by gravity.The rainbow, a symbol of hope and optimism usually appears after a storm or rain fall. It is a reflection of the sun`s spectrum on raindrops and consists of seven colours - red, orange, yellow, green,. blue, indigo and violet. I have only ever seen a complete rainbow once, and used it to act as a design device to enclose the black and white galaxy. The paper used is William Turner, size 14`` x 14``. Printed at Toronto Image Works 2015.
